This is a space to practice liberation not just as an idea, but as a felt experience—starting in the body, moving through community, and rippling outward into change.
Step into a sanctuary of embodied practice where justice begins in the body. Rooted in the concept of innervism—inner work as a foundation for outer change—we’ll explore how movement can nourish our spirits, deepen connection, and seed the future we long for.
Through contact improvisation, authentic movement, and nature-based practices, we’ll resource our hearts, cultivate resilience, and vision new possibilities. Together, we’ll practice liberation as a living, breathing act—starting from within.
The muscles establish a tensile three-dimensional grid for the balanced support and movement of the skeletal structure by providing the elastic forces that move the bones through space. They provide the dynamic contents of the outer envelope of flesh encompassing the skeletal structure. Through this system we embody our vitality, express our power, and engage in the dialogue of resistance and resolution.
10/10 - 10/20/25 (days off 10/13 & 10/17)
Completion of other SME courses is a prerequisite. Time is spent considering what it means to be a professional and how do you transition into this role? This course will cover some of the important issues facing professionals in the somatic field.

This Authentic Movement Immersion offers space to explore the Self and relational connection, awaken the multidimensional layers of the psyche, and cultivate conscious awareness through embodiment. Together we will practice seeing and being seen, moving and witnessing, speaking and holding silence.

Start your New Year in meditation, movement and song with Neva and Raffles! This silent meditation retreat is infused with sitting and walking meditation, yoga, singing, and ceremony. All the spaces will be lightly guided and held, so some experience in each of these practices will be helpful. We will meditate alternating sessions of 30 minutes of seated meditation with 10 minutes of walking meditation, for several hours each day. Sometimes there will be light guidance during meditation and other periods will be silent.

Hello. This is our second CI+SOTAI retreat at WildHeart.
I am deeply honored to hold space for contradicting the world’s normalization of disembodiment and distress through remembering, embodying and resting our SOTAI (human and non-human ancestral body).
As a Japanese person, I will emphasize on taking time and being spacious. Let the time have their turn to speak. Let the space have their turn to speak. Touch is powerful. Touch is a portal. Sometimes I don’t want to be touched because it’s so nostalgic. Can I cry with you?
I am so blessed to be alive with you all.
With support from award funds from SITI Company itself, “SITI Emeritus Artists Barney” are entering into a period of formal mentorship for Loom Ensemble’s programming at WildHeart, beginning with this open-to-the-public opportunity to engage with Suzuki and Viewpoints training, with two of the world’s most qualified teachers of these methods.
