Gamelan Kingston

Gamelan Kingston will provide an evening concert of original and arranged works and is a group of composers and performers exploring the musical possibilities of gamelan (a multi-timbral melodic percussion orchestra from Indonesia) in contemporary and traditional styles. Their diverse backgrounds combine to create new music as well as new collaborative possibilities with both artists and audiences. www.gamelankingston.org

Jody Diamond is a composer, performer, writer, publisher, editor and educator renowned for her specialization in traditional and contemporary gamelan music. In 1981 she founded and continues to direct the American Gamelan Institute and edits its journal, Balungan. www.gamelan.org
Sasha Bogdanowitsch is a composer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and educator, whose work includes original songs, music for theater, dance and film, inter- disciplinary performance, concert music and sound baths, often influenced by his studies of world, folk and contemporary musics. He currently performs solo as Timbre Tree and as a member of Lyraccord, LoomSong, Gamelan Kingston and the Hogfiddle Consort. www.timbretree.com

Performance Location
WildHeart is located on 46+ beautiful acres in the Hudson Valley at 183 East Road, Wallkill, NY. This event will take place in the Barn, the large building at the end of the driveway. You can park in either of the two parking areas on the right side of the driveway before you get to the Barn. There are also a few spots in front of the Barn.
