Freedom within Form
Facilitated By: Olivier Besson
March 7 & 8
12pm-3pm
This workshop aims to provide a container where mutual flow and deep play allows the emergence of a consensual dance. Using sensations and images, we (re)visit techniques to ignite and expand our understanding of physical possibilities while engaged in the act of improvising. We look at our own expectations and tendencies. We make room and invite empty space, ushering more unknown. We show up, more fully present and experience freedom within form.
This workshop includes the option to participate in WildHeart’s Shared Stage event on the evening of March 7. During the workshop, participants will receive prompts that will be used as a devised, improvised score for the performance.
Shared Stage is a curated evening featuring 4–6 solo or ensemble artists from a range of disciplines, each presenting 10–20 minutes of performance work at any stage of development. If you are interested in performing as part of Olivier’s piece, artist call-time is 4:30pm, and the performance begins at 7:30pm.
