Authentic Movement Immersion

Facilitated By: Lillian Kemanis

January 10 & 11, 2026

This Authentic Movement Immersion offers space to explore the Self and relational connection, awaken the multidimensional layers of the psyche, and cultivate conscious awareness through embodiment. Together we will practice seeing and being seen, moving and witnessing, speaking and holding silence. Authentic Movement is a spiritual and contemplative body-based practice rooted in expressive movement therapy, where the psyche is explored through the moving body. The practice brings focus to the relationship we have to ourselves, to another, and the collective.

During this immersion participants will:

  • Practice moving and witnessing — exploring both internal and relational awareness
  • Cultivate witness consciousness through nonjudgmental attention to self and other
  • Explore the role of the eyes — internal seeing, being seen, and witnessing
  • Develop compassionate awareness and deepen the capacity for empathy and nonjudgment
  • Engage an embodied epistemology — a way of knowing through sensing, feeling, seeing, and following impulse
  • Strengthen connection to authenticity and Self Energy

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have prior experience?
No, you do not need to have prior experience to participate in Authentic Movement. It can be helpful to have some knowledge of mindfulness, meditation, or somatic practices, however it is not necessary. This session is open to all!

Is this a dance class?
Nope! In Authentic Movement participants engage in self-directed movement with no guidance, suggestions, or prompts from a facilitator. The practice is intended to deepen inner connection to the wisdom of the body and allow organic movement to arise naturally.

Is this therapy?

Authentic Movement is often practiced in clinical therapy settings; however, this workshop is an experiential, self-exploratory practice — not a therapy session. That said, many participants find the work to be deeply therapeutic and transformative.

Can I attend only one day?

We ask that all participants plan to attend both days in full.

“Lillian’s Authentic Movement classes at Wildheart have provided me with an excellent introduction to the practice. Lillian creates an environment that makes me feel safe and connected to the others in the room. I find myself feeling very in-my-body when I am moving during the session, and have had intense emotional experiences that felt like they were allowed within the container. I think this may be a worthwhile exploration for almost anyone.”

“Lillian is a very clear and creative, honest and humble facilitator and she has the ability to be there for everyone and take us on endless amounts of different creative journeys that AWAKEN the BODY and MIND in a different way!”

 — Josa G

“Lillian has a way of holding you that is so firm yet so gentle. During our session, I was able to step outside of my buzzing mind and quiet enough of my intellectualizing in order to finally hear what my body has been trying to tell me, and what a breakthrough that was! This gifted peace is absolutely priceless and I truly couldn’t have seen myself without her guidance.”

— Jazmin K

“My experience with Lillan has felt extremely authentic. She has a very kind nature and I felt seen and understood not only verbally but while moving together. Lillian has been able to provide a safe container for movement exploration that I felt I really needed to get out of my head and back into my own body.”
