One February day in 2023, Al, Amy and Evan met in Evan’s living room to learn some tunes and find a common sound.
What we’ve birthed over two years of writing and rehearsing, pop-up shows, potlucks, and parties is deeper and wider than we ever imagined
Sometimes souls operate at cross purposes. Sometimes purposes cross and souls cooperate. Downside Up is a case of the latter.
Recording engineer, producer, songwriter, bassist and environmentalist Al Hemberger owns and operates The Loft Recording Studios in Bronxville, NY, which has recorded many gold and platinum songs and hosted hundreds of artists, from Rihanna to Rod Stewart to NSync. Google him for more info.
Beacon songwriter and chanteuse Amy Soucy studied musical theater and more, but found her home and honed her chops in the folk scene. Her first album won her a coveted Emerging Artist spot at Falcon Ridge Folk Fest and 1st place in CT Folk’s Song Competition.
Guitarist Evan Schwartz predates YouTube and electronic tuners. He learned to play guitar at “the local blues jam,” where they throw you into the fire and you learn or burn.
WildHeart is located on 46+ beautiful acres in the Hudson Valley at 183 East Road, Wallkill, NY. This event will take place in the Barn, the large building at the end of the driveway. You can park in either of the two parking areas on the right side of the driveway before you get to the Barn. There are also a few spots in front of the Barn.
