Shared Stage Performance
December 13 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Join us for a delightful evening of short performances! This special evening features 3-6 performances, each 10-20 minutes long from artists of different disciplines. This is a chance for artists to share work, or excerpts of their work, alongside other artists. Audiences will be given the option to write a note for each artist, sharing their experience of the work. This is a wonderful opportunity for artists to receive feedback about the impact of their work, and for audiences to feel into the impact of each piece. The mixture of pieces – from dance, to music, to theater, to visual art, to experimental art – makes for a fun, inspiring, and diverse evening.

In December we are thrilled to present a variety of theater and dance created and performed by local artists ⎯ Rod Sauquillo, Stephen Park and Kelly Coffield Park, Gathering Wild, Leighann Kowalsky, Natalie Deryn Johnson, and Glenna Yu.

Dancers: Emma Laufersweiler, Meredith Casimiro, Brianna Dixon, and Lillian Kemanis
Choreographed by: Jerylann Warner
Music by: The North Wind by Jim Perkins, Daigo Hanada
Description:
This piece can be described as a study to keep us in motion, in our creativity, and connected to each other. This is a Hudson Valley iteration of an Atlanta based dance company ⎯ a slowly growing and emerging new group.
In the realm of performance ideation, Jerylann, as a choreographer and seasoned teacher, has made an unstoppable creative impact. She has guided her students far in their artistic pursuits while mentoring, nurturing, and developing professional dancers and actors. Her choreography and dance company, Gathering Wild, have provided opportunities and acclaim for many performing artists. Her signature approach has been to foster community, conversation, and collaboration among vocal, visual, musical, theatrical, movement, and literary artists. Her roles in performance, production, and direction all center around this alchemy. Her production credits are numerous, ranging from site-specific immersive events to staged musical theater, as well as performances for the concert stage.
Jerylann has served on the faculties of Harvard and Emory University, directed dance programs in two performing arts high schools, and also served as dramaturge in residence. She launched a dance program in Title I schools in Atlanta, directed a school of dance in metro Atlanta, and wrote and directed a series of evening-length productions.
